It began with a desire to breathe new life into a 1950s house facing Dakar’s last remaining public garden.
A house steeped in history—once the home of the renowned writer Aimé Césaire.
The vision was to create an intimate, creative sanctuary that draws its inspiration from the continent's rich culture.
To craft an exclusive, enchanting retreat just five minutes from the bustling city center.
And finally, to honor a woman of strength and conviction—an artist who took a stand against apartheid—the ethno-jazz singer Miriam Makeba, whose name this villa proudly bears.
